On December 14, 2019, the 2019 VCL World Fencing City League Finals came to an end in Shanghai, and the individual champions and team champions of epee, foil and sabre were decided. This competition is a national competition serving the majority of young fencers. Starting from "Sports Return to Education", it aims to give full play to the educational function of competitive sports in cultivating young people's will quality. Samaranch Foundation and Universal Sports, the governing unit of the Foundation, formally held hands at the opening ceremony of Shanghai Olympic Expo on November 24, 2018, and established the "Universal Sports Special Fund"  which is dedicated to spreading the Olympic ideal and the values of healthy life.
